Couples Therapy
You love each other. So why does it feel so hard?
Maybe you keep having the same argument with different words. Maybe one of you shuts down while the other pushes harder. Maybe the spark has faded, trust has been broken, or you’re living like roommates. Whatever brought you here, it doesn’t mean your relationship is failing. It means the patterns between you need attention.
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, relationships are my specialty. I don’t take sides or play referee. I help you see the cycle you’re both caught in, so the two of you can face the problem together instead of against each other.
What we’ll work on
Communicating without blowing up or shutting down
Breaking repetitive arguments and cycles of defensiveness
Rebuilding trust and emotional safety
Reconnecting emotionally and physically
Navigating big transitions (marriage, kids, blended families, career changes, loss)
Managing anxiety and stress so it stops spilling into your relationship
Understanding how each partner’s family history shapes how you love and fight
How I work with couples
I blend approaches to fit the two of you, not a one-size-fits-all formula:
Family systems: Understand the patterns each of you brought into the relationship, and how anxiety moves between you.
Narrative therapy: Separate the two of you from the problem, so it’s “us versus the problem,” not “me versus you.”
CBT: Spot the thoughts and assumptions that fuel conflict, and replace them with ones that build understanding.
Solution-focused work: Build on what’s already working and set clear, practical goals.
Somatic and mindfulness tools: Learn to calm your body in the heat of a hard conversation, so you can respond instead of react.
You’ll leave sessions with real tools to use at home, not just insight.
Who I work with
Married and dating couples, partners preparing for marriage, couples in crisis, and couples who simply want to feel closer. All are welcome, regardless of relationship structure, background, or how long you’ve been together.

FAQ
Do we both need to be ready? It helps, but it’s common for one partner to be more hesitant. We’ll meet you where you are.
What if only one of us wants to come? I can work with an individual on relationship patterns, and often the relationship shifts too.
Can this save our marriage? I can’t promise an outcome, but I can promise a structured, compassionate space to understand what’s happening and make an informed choice, whether that’s repair or moving forward with respect.
